NOT BEING PEOPLE WHO LIKE LONG GOODBYES, TOMORROW AT 2 PM WE WILL CLOSE THE DOORS FOR THE LAST TIME. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. 

We are closing the Indy Mart to make way for the redevelopment of space here. Our last day of operation will be Sunday July 11. We will be closed Sat 7/3 and Sun 7/4 but WILL BE OPEN Monday & Tuesday 7/5 & 7/6 (days we are typically closed) and every day after that through Sunday 7/11. Hours will be 11 AM - 7 PM, including Sunday 7/11.

Please come and show your support for the wonderful people that have risen to the entrepreneurial opportunity these past months. Here are just some of the possibilities:

• Buy one of Ameera's wonderful works of art or commission her for lessons and tap your own inner artist
• Take advantage of Leticia's incredible collection of religious items and Spanish language books, music and DVDs
• Enjoy a cup of robust coffee, delicious tea or other snacks with Teresa -- or walk across the room with her to discuss the beautiful cedar planters and other items she and Bob build -- custom orders readily accepted -- they have fresh popcorn and an awesome stamp collection to sell, too!
  
• Get some of Linda's amazing jewelry -- custom or otherwise, she has the most beautiful pieces you could ever imagine -- and you could spend hours in pleasant conversation with her!
  
• Talk with Kareem about prepaid legal services, get a great deal on a necktie or some elegant furniture, or just plain enjoy his cheerful presence
  
• Order a custom walking stick from Quinten (these are true works of art), or grab up one of his terrific deals on tools.
  
• Check out Dave's deals on everything from fishing tackle to rare books -- his "guy" table has consistently been a big hit here
• See Lori (but only Friday 7/2, 7/9 and Saturday 7/10) for custom embroidery and some other really great deals -- and lots of ready-made t-shirts she's willing to deal on
• Meet Greg or Terry and see their great deals on assorted merchandise and those cool radio-controlled airplanes -- Greg can even build one for you!
• Check out the others who will drop in for a day here and there.
  

It has been a great ride and one that hopefully leaves an imprint for future endeavors of this kind. It has also been a privilege being involved in this. While imperfect on many levels, we learned and made adjustments along the way, and in the end managed to generate income for dozens of households, built awareness for scores of artists and crafters, and even helped launch two stand-alone businesses.

For those of you who have been our consistent supporters, we are deeply grateful. And this enterprise could not have launched and endured without the help of operations managers Brett Meyers and Jerry Oliver and all the vendors who were with us over these past 9 months.

Stay tuned -- someone else will undoubtedly take this model to the next level. While our work here was everything from joyful to challenging to painful and back again, in the words of Ronnie Milsap, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
